After a hugely forgettable and disappointing two seasons Shinji Kagawa has returned to the Bundesliga to link up with Jurgen Klopp at his former club Borussia Dortmund.
Kagawa rarely managed a decent run in the Manchester United starting XI and only managed 36 league appearances under Sir Alex Ferguson, David Moyes and Louis van Gaal, most of which he was deployed out wide rather than his favoured central role.
Numerous #FreeShinji Twitter campaigns have finally worked as the Japanese international is heading back to his second home in a cut price deal of just £6.3m, significantly less than Manchester United initially paid.
Bizarrely Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky has waded in to poke fun at their Premier League rivals after he posted the above image on his official Instagram page.
