larry-pageThe ultimate search engine would basically understand everything in the world, and it would always give you the right thing. And we’re a long, long ways from that.
It really matters whether people are working on generating clean energy or improving transportation or making the Internet work better and all those things. And small groups of people can have a really huge impact.
I can’t really comment on rumors.
If you ask an economist what’s driven economic growth, it’s been major advances in things that mattered – the mechanization of farming, mass manufacturing, things like that. The problem is, our society is not organized around doing that.

    Lawrence “Larry” Page (born March 26, 1973) is an American computer scientist and Internet entrepreneur who, with Sergey Brin, is best known as the co-founder of Google. On April 4, 2011, he took on the role of chief executive officer of Google, replacing Eric Schmidt. As of 2012, his personal wealth is estimated to be $20.3 billion, ranking him #13 on the Forbes 400 list of richest Americans.

    He is the inventor of PageRank, which became the foundation of Google’s search ranking algorithm. Together, Brin and Page own about 16 percent of the company’s stock.
