It is with great sadness that I inform you that Noriko passed away the morning of Friday, April 14, 2017 in the Intensive Care Unit at HUMC @ Pascack Valley Hospital (Westwood, NJ).
Noriko had suffered a medical emergency at home on Thursday, April 6, 2017. She was treated at home by the EMTs of the Westwood Volunteer Ambulance Corp and officers of the Westwood Police Department before being transported to the Emergency Room at HUMC @ Pascack Valley Hospital. After being stabilized in the Emergency Room, she was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
After cremation, Noriko will be inurned, to be with her father, at Oku-no-in (奥の院) at Mt. Koya (高野山) in Japan.
A Memorial Service at Becker Funeral Home in Westwood, NJ is being planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or the American Lung Association (www.lung.org).
