金持ちが貧乏人を見る目は
思いのほか厳しい
そこに見えてくる貧乏人は
自分たちを被害者と位置づける人たちで
政府には自分たちの面倒をみる責任があると思っていて
働く意思もなく
税金もまともに払っていないのに
医療や教育を無料で受ける権利があるとか
人権が侵害されているとか
勝手なことばかり言う
貧乏人が金持ちを見るときは
憎しみにも似た感情が混じる
金持ちは貧乏人から吸い上げた富を独占し
政府に影響を及ぼし法律を曲げ
出来上がった不公平な仕組みが不平等を大きくし
金持ちはなんにもしないのに富が増え
貧乏人は働いても働いても貧乏で
金持ちは豪邸に住み高級車に乗り
おいしいものを食べていい思いばかりしている
金持ちを許してなるものか
のさばらしてばいけない
自分たちは
不当な扱いを受けていると思っている
金持ちは自分たちこそが
不当な扱いを受けていると思っている
貧乏人の何倍も働き財産を築いた
努力をしてスキルを蓄えカネを稼いだ
リスクを取って命がけで生きてきた
富は親から受け継いだものではない
ぜんぶ自分が働いたおかげだ
そういう自負があればこそ
働かない貧乏人が貧しいのは
仕方がないと言ったりする
努力をした人が努力にふさわしい富を得るのは当然だとか
努力にふさわしい成果を手にする仕組みは正しいだとか
そんなことを主張する
努力をしても富を生み出せない人がいて
努力すらできない人もいて
そういう人たちのことを
思い浮かべることのできない
想像力のない人々が
弱い人への思いやりを
持てるわけもなく
自由経済などと言われた人たちが
納得できるわけもないから
話し合おうとする人はどこにもいない
金持ちがもし貧民街で生まれていたら
金持ちになれただろうか
貧乏人がまともな教育を受けてきたら
貧乏人のままなわけはないだろうに
金持ちがシアトルの裕福な家庭でなく
ハルゲイサの極貧のなかで生まれていたら
貧乏人がハルゲイサの極貧のなかでなく
シアトルの裕福な家庭で生まれていたら
富は誰かのものではないはず
社会全体のものでもないはず
人生は所詮ゲームだけれど
ゲームにはルールが必要で
ルールはフェアなものでなけれはならない
フェアとは
金持ちにとってのフェアではないはずで
貧乏人にとってのフェアでもないはず
フェアとは
富を個人のものとして独占することでもなく
社会のものとして独占することでもない
フェアとは
金持ちも貧乏人もいない
緊張のない
いい状態
でも
人がいる限り
そんな状態は絶対に生まれない
