When I assumed the office of the Prime Minister, I laid out to the people of Japan the vision that the Abe Administration will pursue: “a beautiful country, Japan.” A country which is full of vitality, opportunity and compassion; a country which cherishes the spirit of self-discipline; a country which is open to the world; so that it is admired and respected by people all over the world, and our children’s generation can possess self-confidence and pride.
