いつものことだけれど、『予選突破が確実と言われていて、実際には予選突破ができない』のは、ヨーロッパのチーム。
逆に、『予選突破は無理と言われていて、実際には予選突破ができる』のは、アジアやアフリカのチーム。
Standard Chartered の予測モデルの欠陥としか思えない。
それなのに Standard Chartered は、”We are unsure why our model continues to dislike Ghana, despite having been embarrassed twice already …” などと書く。
今回もまた、予選突破が確実と言われているヨーロッパのチームが予選突破ができず、予選突破は無理と言われているアジアやアフリカのチームが予選突破すれば、「ざまあみろ」なのだけれど、それでも Standard Chartered が予測モデルを変えることはないだろう。
なんといっても、Standard Chartered は、自分たちのビジネスにとって都合の良い予測をして、収益増につなげたいわけだから、これからも同じようなことが続くわけだ。
そして、 Standard Chartered は、”We are unsure why our model continues to dislike …” と言い続ける。
日本の経済効果のことしか考えない会社は「日本は『ベスト16』、いや『ベスト8』だ」なんて言うわけだから、どっちもどっちなんだけど。 ;)
