As attackers have grown more sophisticated and aggressive in stealing intellectual property and other valuable information, organizations have reason to be concerned. The nature and scale of the attacks being shared by public discourse highlights the potential exposure and difficulty in mitigating these threats. It is apparent that there are numerous attack groups (even within single nation states), often with preferred techniques and operational models. Fundamentally, many attacker goals can be characterized as intelligence gathering. The counter measure for organizations is to enhance their own intelligence gathering: Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI).
