玉ねぎの値段で頭を悩ませている人が
憲法改正の論議に乗ってくるわけもなく
病気という大きな問題を抱えた人には
宇宙の大きさは小さな問題でしかない

946兆kmも離れたところで放たれた光が
100年後に地球に到達したとして
それはあまりにも遠すぎて
イメージすることすらできない

重力は時空の歪みが物体を引き寄せる作用だとか
光の軌道は時空の歪みで曲がるとか
宇宙の膨張が加速していると言われたら
なにもわかりたくなくなってしまった

光が放たれたところと地球とが
たがいに引かれ合うわけもなく
100年も宇宙を彷徨ってきた光は
想像もできないくらい孤独だ
