こんなに良いアイデアまでもが開発ビジネスに組み込まれ、「金持ちがもっと金持ちになるための道具」になってしまう。
どうせ貧しい人たちには払えないのだから、援助する側（国際機関、NGO、宗教団体など）が払う。どうせ払うのは援助する側なのだから、値段は高くてもいい。
援助する側にしてみれば、5,400ドルを払って100個のQドラムを買い与え、スタッフに給料や交通費として15,000ドルを払って写真を撮らせ文章を書かせれば、20,000ドル以下の出費で「効果のある援助」をアピールできる。
援助を食い物にしている人たちにその辺りのことを話すと、「これこそウィンウィンの素晴らしいモデルケースだ」なんていうことを涼しい顔をして言う。Qドラムを作っている人たちは儲かる。援助される側は助かる。援助する側は低額で行動をアピールできる。みんなにとってこれほど素晴らしいことはない。。。のだそうだ。
